Yes, that is right. Mpesa services will be shut down from 14th July 2017 in Albania, Europe due to low uptake. Mpesa services are very popular in Kenya but has found it a hard nut to crack elsewhere in the world.
The shutdown is set to affect over 250,000 people subscribed to the services who have untill 29th July to withdraw their amounts.
Mpesa services boasts 25 million subscribers and is operational in over 10 countries. Safaricom, earlier on, announced that they are going to roll out the services in more African countries as ealy as next year.
