Electricity generated by renewable sources stood at 26% in the UK of the total amount of Electrical energy produced. This is according to Government sources. 24.8 Terawatt-hours(tWh) came from wind, solar, hydro and other sources of clean energy.
As reported by The Independent , this is more than five percent of what was generated by renewable cources the same period last year. Records from the Government sources shows that Solar power generated 1.7tWh while wind energy contributed 12.7tWh both of which are an increase compared to what was generated for the same period last year.
