However, even with the market share drop Safaricom still managed an additional 44,723 subscriptions taking it's total to 314,120 customers translating to 34.3% of the market share.
Zuku, on the other hand, lost 1.7% of their market share despite having an additional 38,606 connections. They have a total of 255,906 connections translating to 27.9% of the total market share.
Jamii Telecoms were the biggest gainers, having an additional 61,810 new customers taking it's total to 200, 079. The gain represents 3.1% increase to 21.9% of the total market share.
Further, the CAK data shows that the top 3 data providers control 85.1% of the market share with the other smaller players scrambling for the rest.
