Mpesa To A Bank

It is set that Mpesa is to be split from the Safaricom enterprise by January 2023. This is in a bid to even the telecommunications playing field.

As much as this is opposed by the telco's leadership, an assessment carried out by a British firm established that the Mpesa business was so vast that it tipped the scales in favour of Safaricom to the ditrament of her competition.

As Safaricom is gearing up for the split, Airtel Kenya has already splitted Airtel money from it's core business.
